A great classic 1st flush Darjeeling. The steeped cup is medium-bodied with a noticeable fruity-muscatel sweetness. A slight astringency is present, but that is to be expected from an Indian black tea. (Yield: 26-28 servings per 2 oz.)
Ingredients: Indian black tea

- Castleton was founded in 1885 in the Kurseong District of central Darjeeling. Being one of the most famous of the Darjeeling tea gardens, and earning ISO 9000 certification in September 1994, its teas are always among the finest Darjeelings. Most of the tea producing plants within the garden are descendants of Chinese tea bushes. With over 700 acres of tea gardens, Castleton employs around 600 people during its busiest seasons. The tea leaves are harvested by hand, while most of the production is mechanized to ensure consistency. Exact production methods are carefully safeguarded.
