Tea/Teaware Refund Policy

Teas and Teaware

Choose your selections carefully. For our customers’ protection, no refunds or exchanges on teas. No refunds or exchanges on used items. The "gift tea" that is given to class participants at the end of specific classes has no monetary value, therefore it cannot be exchanged, substituted or refunded.

Shipping Damage

We always take measures to ensure products are securely packaged to reduce risk of damage during shipping. If items arrive damaged, please contact us by phone or email within TWO days of receipt and keep all original packaging. We will contact the carrier and file a claim. Please keep all packaging; customers may be asked to take photos to clearly show the extent of damage, or asked to take damaged items and packaging to the post office. If a replacement is available, we will happily send a replacement and cover the shipping costs. If no replacement is available, the customer may exchange it for another item of equal value.

Shipping Policy

There are various shipping methods available. Please choose your shipping method carefully.

Texas or Oklahoma

  • Standard Shipping (3-8 business days): $7.95

  • Twenty-Mile (20) Radius Delivery Fee (1-4 business days) $5.00  (Customer's phone number required.)

  • In-Store Pick-up / Classes: This is for customers who wish to pick up their purchase at our store, located in northwest Dallas; or for those who are attending our tea classes.

Other States

  • Standard Shipping (3-8 business days): $10.00

As a merchant, it is our responsibility to make shipping clear and understandable.  It is our customers' responsibility to choose the correct method of shipping.

If a customer incorrectly chooses "In Store Pick-up / Classes" instead of Standard, 2nd Day, or Next Day, we will not ship the items until the correct shipping amount has been paid.  In this case, we will send an invoice for the amount that is due to the email address provided by the customer when the order was placed.  If the invoice is not paid within one week, we will issue a partial refund, keeping $5.00 as a handling fee.

If a customer incorrectly chooses to pay a shipping charge when paying for a class or picking up an order, we will issue a store credit for the overpaid shipping charges.  Store credit must be used within one month.  If the credit is not used within one month, the customer forfeits the credit. Credits are not transferable to another customer.

By choosing the Twenty-Mile (20) Radius Delivery option, the customer agrees the delivery address is within a 20-mile radius of our store (75229 zip code).  If a customer chooses Twenty-mile Radius Delivery and the delivery address is outside the Twenty-mile radius, we will send an invoice for the amount due to the email address provided by the customer when the order was placed.  We will ship the order when payment is complete.  A customer's phone number is required to arrange delivery. If a phone number is not provided, we will request a phone number by sending an email to the address provided at the time of the order.  If the customer is not at the delivery address when package is delivered, the package will be placed in a discreet spot at that address and a photograph will be sent by text or email at the time and place of delivery.  Blue Heron Tea Traditions and its delivery drivers are not responsible for the package once it has been delivered.

(Shipping rates are subject to change.)
